Mobile Gallery Page Improved

We've made improvements to the mobile version of the gallery page. The layout has changed to allow for textual descriptions and the purchase links have been added. All features available on the desktop and Facebook versions are now also available on the mobile version. Images are designed to fit the maximum width of the screen and increase in size when the user switches to landscape view. Fitting content on the smaller mobile screens is always a challenge and we will continue to adapt TotalSnap to best fit this format.

TotalSnap Now Features a New Gallery Layout, More Navigation Options, and Facebook Comments

There is now greater flexibility when it comes to TotalSnap's image gallery and navigation. This includes the addition of Facebook comments.

There is a new horizontal layout for the image gallery in addition to the current columnar layout.
Facebook comments can be embedded directly into products and services.
The order can be set for links in the navigation menu.
The order can be set for tabs in the TotalSnap Facebook application.
Facebook "like" and "send" buttons are now individual to each item in the TotalSnap gallery.

With greater flexibility in page layout and social networking tools comes the ability to spread your message amongst a larger audience. Check back often to see what new features TotalSnap will offer next.

No Need to Beware The Ides of March – TotalSnap Now Supports Up to Five Content Pages and Other Exciting New Features

There are amazing new features added to TotalSnap for March.

TotalSnap pages now supports up to five content page. This is in addition to the image gallery, contact page, and shopping cart that already exist within TotalSnap.
Users of TotalSnap can now add their business name in the TotalSnap configuration. The business name will be used for locating the correct pin on their Google map.
The contact form is now optional should users of TotalSnap not wish to receive email from visitors to their site.
Content can be assigned to display on the TotalSnap website, the mobile version, Facebook, or any combination of. Users can craft their content to match the platform it is being served on.

Revised TotalSnap Toolbar Layout

Our user's have always been our greatest asset when deciding on what features to add or change for TotalSnap. It was no exception when much our feedback suggested that the layout of the menus in the TotalSnap toolbar could be grouped in a more logical manner. We agreed, and have made vast improvements to the layout.

Here are some of the highlights:

The content editor is now the default since that is the most commonly used feature
All of the color selection is together in one place
We've grouped all of the contact information fields together, on one page
Navigation is grouped with meta information
All social networking functions are on the same tab

TotalSnap Goes Fully Mobile

TotalSnap will now detect if a user is viewing the site on a mobile device and automatically produce a mobile friendly version.

A standard website, when viewed on a mobile phone, will either get shrunk down to fit on the page, or end up with giant awkward scroll bars everywhere. A TotalSnap site will automatically serve up a mobile friendly version complete with scaled images and content.

A mobile friendly home page with links to each section of the website.

Images and content automatically reformatted to fit a mobile screen.

An alternate photo gallery reformatted for a mobile screen complete with photo zoom.

TotalSnap will show a nifty interface for users to access the main conent, the contact page, the location map, the image gallery, and the social networking links. Each of these pages are designed to show nicely on a mobile device.

This all happens with no configuration, extra work or any effort at all!

Twitter Feed Fully Integrated

TotalSnap 2.0 Released!

Our new version of TotalSnap is released. The biggest change for TotalSnap is the shift to three individual pages. There is now plenty of room for the main content with a second page dedicated to contact and location, and a third page dedicated to products and services. We’ve streamlined the layout and allowed for much greater flexibility in the page content and navigation. No clutter and simple to navigate! Check back for additional posts discussing the various new features over the next couple of weeks. These will include new Facebook and Twitter integration, new photo gallery features, new promotional tools, and a new partner program. If that isn’t enough we have a major announcement we’ll be posting in the near future that is sure to excite any business owner… but we’ll have to keep it a secret for now. Social Networking Added

We’re happy to announce that adding your favorite social networking links to your webpage is now a Total Snap! Just put your facebook, twitter, youtube and linkedin addresses in the corresponding fields of the new social networking area of the toolbar, and presto, you are sharing your site with the world. We’ve also added the option of putting the facebook like button on your page so that all your friends and their friends can share the love of your site! Happy networking.

Animated GIF Support for Logo and Banner

We had some folks that wanted to have a little action and movement in their logo and banner. We responded by adding animated GIF support to the banner and logo uploader. The photo gallery already supported animated GIF files, and now the other main parts of Total Snap do as well. Whether dancing bears, or technological wonders - Total Snap has you covered.

New Editor Features – iFrame and Paste from Word

We've upgraded the built in editor and added two new handy features. First there is the iFrame feature which allows external web content to be displayed in the page. Secondly there is the "Paste from Word" feature which cleans the text copied from a Word document before it is pasted into the web page. This makes the code more reliable and less prone to errors introduced by Word code.
